Weather Wreaking Havoc On Weekend Baseball, Softball

By Nicholas Huenefeld/Owens Sports Information

Toledo, Ohio---Due to last night's rain, and with more rain and snow expected over the next day or two, the Owens Community College baseball and softball teams have shifted their schedules around for this weekend, which has also affected next week's schedules, too.

With more bad weather in the forecast for this weekend, there may be additional changes to the updates below as the weekend progresses. Please stop by our Facebook and Twitter pages for any updates as they happen, or visit this article for updates.

Baseball

The Owens baseball team was originally scheduled to host Cuyahoga Community College on Friday and Saturday this weekend. However, both of those doubleheaders have now been rained out. They will be made up at a later date, and we will let you know once those dates are announced.

Softball

The Owens softball team was originally scheduled to host Sinclair Community College this Friday, Clark State Community College on Saturday and Macomb Community College on Sunday. All of those games have now been postponed.

The Clark State doubleheader will not be made up, while the Sinclair home doubleheader has been rescheduled for April 16 beginning at 3:30 p.m. A decision has yet to be made regarding the rescheduling of the Macomb doubleheader.

Due to the original schedule having Owens traveling to Sinclair on April 16, that road doubleheader has been rescheduled for April 12 at 2 p.m.

Also, as a reminder, the games against Walsh University JV originally scheduled to be played at Owens on Monday April 11 have been canceled due to Walsh not having enough players to field a JV team.
