Toledo, OH --  The Ohio Community College Athletic Conference announced, on Tuesday January 15, its selections for the Academic All-Conference Team for the Fall Semester of 2018. Owens had 15 athletes in total be placed on the team.

In order to qualify, a student-athlete must achieve a 3.30 GPA or higher while completing at least 12 credit hours.

Once again, the baseball team placed 11 total players on the team. Three of the players achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA for the semester. Those players were Joseph Everson, Andrew Flowers, and Christian Orr. In addition to those three, Jarrett Batanian, Austin Christman, Gary DeMartino,  Ryan Jagodzinski, Bryce Pratt, Ben Sexton, Jacob Spiess, and Mitchell Wells were named to the Academic All-Conference team. It was the second straight semester that Everson achieved a 4.0 in the classroom, and it was the second straight nomination for Jarrett Batanian, Austin Christman, Bryce Pratt, Christian Orr, and Ben Sexton. The 11 players ties a program record for the most amount of players named to an Academic All-Conference team, which last happened in the 2015-2016 school year prior to the sport being suspended and this past fall.

Tori Kopp was a nominee from the women's basketball team, while Kemet Hartman was named to the team for men's basketball.

Chloe Dominguez qualified for the Academic All-Conference as the lone member from the softball team. For the second straight semester, Kara Evers qualified from the volleyball program.
