Jeryn Reese, the leading scorer for Owens this year, did not play in the game, but Ariel Bethea had eight points, six rebounds and six assists. Camaryia Williams, who had 25 points, six rebounds and five steals for Muskegon in the loss, is back as a sophomore this year. - Owens is now 61-1 at home since February of 2012. - Owens has won seven straight to open the season by an average margin of 48 points per game. They have won every game by at least 23, and they have now won 21 consecutive regular season games dating back to Jan. 6 of last season. - Owens is 3-1 all-time against Muskegon. Prior to last year’s matchup, Owens won a pair of postseason games on March 4, 1999 (77-58) and March 5, 1998 (89-75). The first matchup was an 89-67 Muskegon win on Nov. 20, 1992. - Owens is 5th in the nation in scoring at 94.3 per game.
