Scott Tucker begins his first season with the Owens men's baseball program as an assistant coach.  He comes to Owens with a decade of high school coaching experience.  His previous coaching duties include serving as an assistant coach with Anthony Wayne High School where he worked with the pitchers and catchers.  Tucker's baseball experience also includes serving as an assistant coach and head coach at Whitmer High School for seven years.  During his tenure as head coach, Tucker guided Whitmer to a District Championship appearance in 2000.  Before joining the Owens baseball staff, he served as the pitching coach at Monroe High School winning the Mega Red League Championship in 2002.  A graduate of Whitmer High School, Tucker earned his bachelor's degree in education from the University of Toledo where he is currently pursuing his master's degree.  The Toledo native is employed as an educator for Monroe Public Schools.
