Owens Career: In 2009, he earned First Team OCCAC All-Conference and OCCAC Academic All-Conference honors and was named the recipient of the team's Most Improved Player award.  Gibbons collected 49 hits, 31 RBIs and 11 stolen bases and compiled a .445 batting average.

High School: 2008 West Carrollton High School graduate, West Carrollton, Ohio, where he was First Team All-Independent League, named the team's Offensive MVP and holds several high school and state baseball records.  Additionally, Gibbons was a member of the football team, the National Honor Society and the Education Recognition Association.
