Owens Career: In 2009, DeCant was named the recipient of the team's Coaches Award.  He was the team leader with 11 doubles, 5 triples and 31 stolen bases.  DeCant also compiled a .379 batting average.

High School: 2008 Lake High School graduate, Millbury, Ohio, where he was First Team All-Suburban Lakes League, First Team All-District, First Team All-Wood County, and First and Second Team All-Ohio.  Additionally, DeCant holds the high school baseball record for stolen bases in a season and a career and was named "Metro Press" Player of the Year.  He also earned First Team All-SLL, First Team All-District, First Team All-Wood County and Honorable Mention All-Ohio honors in football.
