Gabe Medina coach for eight years at Owens Community College, with his final season coming during the 2010-11 season when he was the associate head coach along with Del Young.

During his eight-year tenure, the Express averaged 30 wins per year.

Prior to coaching at Owens, Medina accumulated more than 20 years of coaching experience at various levels, including being assistant coach and the summer league head coach at Waite High School from 1996-2000. He helped guide many of his teams to AAU, USSSA, AABC and NABF state and World Series championships.

Medina is the founder of the Medina Baseball Academy and the Medina Athletics Youth Baseball Program. The Toledo resident graduated from Oregon Clay High School and attended the University of Toledo. He is employed with Nordmann Roofing Inc. in Toledo.
