Toledo, OH---Sophomore infielder Joe Sickler has signed to play baseball next season at the University of Findlay in Findlay, OH.

The sophomore infielder was named First Team All-OCCAC, First Team All-Region XII, and the team's Co-Offensive MVP last season after hitting.377 with three home runs, 18 runs and 20 RBIs. He had an OBP of .459 and slugged .596 while stealing 12 bases without being caught.

His sophomore year has been cut short due to injury, and he hasn't played since March 31. The team is hoping to have him back in time for the postseason.

Sickler is a graduate of Bowling Green HS in Bowling Green, OH, where he was named First Team All-Northern Lakes League, team MVP and First Team All-County his senior year.

The Oilers compete at the NCAA D-II level and are members of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). They are coached by Troy Berry.

The Express, coached by Del Young, will close out their home schedule today with a 3 p.m. doubleheader vs Ashland University's JV team. The first game will be broadcasted live in BCSN.
