Ward Named OCCAC Pitcher of the Week

Toledo, OH---Chris Ward, a lefty starter for the Express baseball team, has been named the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) Pitcher of the Week.

In an 8-2 win over Lakeland Community College on April 27, Ward struck out 14 while allowing only six hits, one earned run and two walks in a complete game.

He will continue his career at Grand Valley State University next year.

The Express will begin postseason play this Friday at 12:30 p.m. against Vincennes University in the NJCAA Sub-Region XII Tournament. All tournament games will be held at Cuyahoga Community College's West Campus.
