2011 Season: Cowan hit .375 in six games for Olney Central College in the spring of 2011. He sat out last year before transferring to Owens.

Prior to Owens: Cowan was the team MVP in 2009 and 2010, as well as an All-County selection from 2008-10 at Station Camp. He graduated in the top 10 percent of his class with honors.

Personal: Austin is the son of Brian and Jere Cowan. He has two siblings - Makenzey and Dustin.
