2012: Koerber was sixth on the team in ERA as a freshman with a 5.13 ERA in 40.1 innings pitched. While finishing with a 3-4 record, he allowed 49 hits and 10 walks while striking out 32 over 40.1 innings.

Prior to Owens: Koerber was a two-sport athlete in baseball and football at Grosse Pointe North. He was a member of the All Grosse Pointe Times preseason team in 2011 under the tutelage of head coach Frank Sumbera.

Personal: Sean is the son of Dan and Tammy Koerber. His brother, Scott, played baseball at Michigan State University. Following that, he played six seasons in the Chicago Cubs organization (2004-09). He also has one sister, Lindsey.
