Koerber Inks With Lourdes University, Becomes Third Express Player To Move On

Sylvania, OH---Sean Koerber, a sophomore right handed pitcher for the Express baseball team, has signed to continue his playing career at Lourdes University.

Koerber was third on the Express pitching staff this past season with a 5.26 ERA. He started two games and finished with a 1-3 record with his eight relief appearances mixed in. In 25.2 innings pitched, Koerber struck out 18 while walking nine.

The 6'4" Koerber picked up the win in the sub-district tournament clinching win for the Express this past season, as they made their first appearance in the Region XII tournament since 2009-10.

Koerber, who prepped at Grosse Pointe (MI) North High School, struck out 32 in 40.1 innings as a freshman for the Express.

Notes

Koerber becomes the third Express sophomore to sign with a four-year school. He joins Logan Shullick (Tiffin University) and Dane Davis (IPFW).

Lourdes University finished 14-29-1 overall and 5-20-1 in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) last season. The Gray Wolves, who compete at the NAIA level, are led by head coach Andy Ham. Moreover, they featured two former Express players on their roster last year in Tim DeCant and Austin Gunn.
