Zitny Signs With NAIA Rochester College

Toledo, Ohio---Matthew Zitny (Oxford/Oxford, Mich.), a redshirt freshman RHP on the Owens Community College baseball team, recently signed with Rochester College.

Zitny has thrown 11.2 innings for the Express this year, and he has struck out eight so far. He is currently 1-0 in six appearances, including one start.

Rochester College, located in Rochester Hills, Mich., is a member of the NAIA and the USCAA. The baseball program is 13-13 this year under first-year head coach Ryan Chipka.

Meanwhile, the Owens baseball team is 12-22 overall and coming off a doubleheader sweep of St. Clair County Community College. Their next action will be this weekend's four-game home series against Cuyahoga Community College. On Saturday, play begins at 1 p.m., while Sunday's action begins at 12 p.m.
