2015-16: Prado did not participate in any games for Owens.

Prior to Owens: Prado is a 2015 graduate of Westwood Christian, where he made the Miami Dade High School All-Star baseball team. As a senior, he hit .370 (20-for-54) with nine runs, 18 RBI, one home run and a .453 on base percentage. As a junior, he led the team in RBI with 20.

Personal: Kenny is the son of Carlos Pla and Natalia Nunez. He has four siblings - Briana, Esteban, Kevin and Khristian.
