Toledo, Ohio---Adrian Reed, a 6-0 infielder from Livonia Franklin High School in Livonia, Mich., has signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Owens Community College next year.

Reed, who earned All-Kensington Lakes Activities Association (KLAA), All-District and All-Area honors at Livonia Franklin, becomes the first member of the 2016-17 Owens baseball recruiting class.

"Adrian is a solid middle infielder with above average range who swings with power at the plate," said Owens Community College head baseball coach John Parisho. "We're looking forward to his contribution on the field. He plays with a good sense of the game."

The Owens baseball team finished 23-25 last year, but captured the Sub-Region XII tournament championship and finished third in the Region XII tournament, which marked the best postseason finish for the program since 2007. This year's team will open its regular season March 5-12 in Florida.
