Jim Welling is in his fifth year as head basketball coach at Owens College and brings an 83 and 43 record into the 90-91 season.  During his first four years, he has led the Owens Express to a number of notable achievements including back-to-back OJCAC State Championships and top ten ranking for the last two seasons in the NJCAA Division II National poll.  Coach Welling is a 1980 Owens College graduate and received his B.A. from the University of Toledo.  In addition to coaching, Jim is an Admissions Representative in the Student Services Division of Owens College.
