2002-03: Freer averaged 3.8 points and 3.6 rebounds per game as a sophomore. In 33 games, he totaled 125 points, 120 rebounds, 41 assists, 10 steals and five blocks.

2001-02: In 2001-02, he averaged two points and one rebound per game.

High School: 1999 Stevensville/Lakeshore High School graduate, where he averaged 14.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game, leading his team in both categories. Freer was a three-time All-Lakeland Conference selection in basketball.
