Travis Lewis begins his first season as an Assistant Coach for the Express men's basketball program.  A former graduate Assistant Coach in football at Eastern Michigan University, Lewis was a two-sport athlete in basketball and football for the Eagles from 2005-2008.  He was a defensive stopper for the Eagles while earning three letters in basketball and lettered four seasons in football as a standout wide receiver.  He briefly played professional football in the Arena Football League and professional basketball in China.  He earned a bachelor's degree in comprehensive theater art and secondary education and a master's degree in sport management from Eastern Michigan.  A social studies teacher at North Pointe Academy in Highland Park, Mich., Lewis is married to Express women's assistant basketball coach, Jessica Lewis.
