Kelly, Edmonds Combine For 35, But Express Men Fall 80-75 To KVCC

Toledo, OH---Despite the efforts of Justin Edmonds and James Kelly, the Express men's basketball team fell at home to Kalamazoo Valley Community College 80-75 today.

Edmonds finished with 21 points and four rebounds, while Kelly had 14 points and nine rebounds, but the Express couldn't contain KVCC's Daequan Mitchell-Fields (24 points) and Tyler Oliver (22 points).

Those two combined to shoot 19-for-29 from the field overall and 4-for-10 from 3-point range. LeDale Griffin added 12 points and a team-high five rebounds for KVCC.

For the Express, Markese Allen had nine points, seven rebounds and three assists, while Andy Bachman had nine points.

The loss marked the second time the Express have dropped a five-point game to KVCC in the past 11 days. KVCC defeated Owens 72-67 on Nov. 20 in Kalamazoo.

The Express (7-4) will take on Schoolcraft College at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 3.
