Kelly, Boykins Lead Express Men To 84-70 Win Over Delta College

Toledo, OH---James Kelly scored 22 points, while Tony Boykins added 20 in an 84-70 Express win over Delta College in the SHAC today.

Joe Retic II opened the game with a 3-pointer to give the Express a lead they would never relinquish. They stretched the lead to as many as 16 in the second half.

Kelly added eight rebounds, which tied Chris Wilson for the team-high, and he also added two steals and one assist. Overall, Kelly shot 7-for-14 from the field and 8-for-11 from the foul line.

Wilson added six points off the bench to go along with his eight rebounds.

Boykins, who only scored two points in the first half, attacked the basket much more in the second half to finish with five rebounds and one steal - along with his 20 points.

Javon Rice and Franklin Lindsey each added 10 points off the bench. They combined to shoot 9-for-15 from the field.

Jakob Holland and Jojaun Grahm each scored 18 points to lead Delta in scoring, while Holland added a team-high 11 rebounds. Austin Marine added 12 points off the bench.

The Express improved to 10-6 overall and 2-0 against Delta College this year. Their next action will be Jan. 4 against Washtenaw Community College in the SHAC at 7 p.m. It will be the first ever meeting between the two schools.
