2014-15: Lindsey capped a solid two-year career with averages to 15 points, 5.9 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game. The team's second leading scorer and top assist man produced 405 points in his sophomore campaign and totaled 729 points (12.6 PPG), 326 assists (5.6 APG), 141 rebounds (2.4 RPG) and 86 steals (1.5 SPG) in his two-year career. He started 39 games in his two years and saw action in 58.

As a sophomore, Lindsey produced six games of at least 25 points, including a season-high 30 points on the road against the Community College of Rhode Island on Nov. 23. On Jan. 14 against Cuyahoga, he had a season-high 12 assists. He shot 134-for-257 (52.1 percent) from the field and 55-for-118 (46.6 percent) from 3-point range.

In OCCAC play, Lindsey led the league in assists for the second straight year at 6.8 per game.

In his career, Lindsey shot 238-for-463 (51.4 percent) from the field, including a 75-for-183 (41 percent) finish from 3-point range. He finished 178-for-216 (82.4 percent) from the foul line.

2013-14: Lindsey improved throughout his freshman year, eventually making 23 starts in 31 appearances. He averaged 10.5 points, 5.4 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game. However, in OCCAC play, he led the league in assists while averaging 11.3 points, eight assists, 2.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game. He started 10 of 12 conference games and totaled a conference high 96 assists.

Overall, Lindsey totaled 324 points, 167 assists, 71 rebounds and 46 steals. He had 16 games of double figure scoring and four games of double figure assists (all in conference play). In a Jan. 18 win over Cincinnati State, Lindsey poured in a season-high 30 points. In a March 1 win over Sinclair, he had a season-high 14 assists. In postseason play, he averaged 24 points, five assists, three steals and 2.5 rebounds. In those two games, he shot 14-for-25 from the field, 4-for-9 from 3-point range and 16-for-18 from the foul line. In the final game of the season, he went 10-for-10 from the foul line, just two short of his season-best and single game record tying 12-for-12 performance against Cincinnati State on Jan. 18.

Following the season, Lindsey was named Second Team All-OCCAC. He led the team in assists and steals and finished fourth in total points.

In the summer of 2014, Lindsey was invited to and participated in the All-American Elite 80 JUCO Showcase in Augusta, Georgia.

Prior to Owens: Lindsey finished an award-filled senior year at Teaneck High School, where he totaled 1,117 career points. As a senior, while leading Teaneck to a 27-4 record, he averaged 18.5 points and 8.2 assists per game and was named First Team All-Big North Conference (National Division), First Team All-Bergen County, First Team All-North Jersey and MSG Honorable Mention All-New Jersey.

While leading Teaneck to an 87-8 record in his career, Lindsey finished his career with the following honors overall: three-time First Team All-Big North Conference (National Division); two-time First Team All-Bergen County; one-time Second Team All-Bergen County and two-time First Team All-North Jersey.

Additionally, Lindsey was invited to the North/South and Bergen/Passaic All-Star Games, and he helped Teaneck to three straight Christmas Tournament Championships, three straight Big North Championships, three straight Bergen Jamboree Championships, three straight Group 3 State Sectional Championships, a 28-game win streak (2010-11), a North Jersey record 31-game win streak (2011-12) and a three-time North Jersey "Team of the Year" selection (2011-13).

Individually, he averaged 14.6 points and 8.7 assists as a junior and 8.7 points and 5.3 assists as a sophomore under the direction of head coach Jerome Smart.

Lindsey played AAU basketball for the N.Y. Guachos and N.J. Playaz of the prestigious Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (E.Y.B.L), which features top teams from across the country.

Personal: Shaakir is the son of Vincent and Sherry Lindsey. He has six siblings.
