Toledo, Ohio---Jalen Huff, a 6'5" wing from Dwyer High School in West Palm Beach, Fla., will transfer from Indiana Tech University and play men's basketball at Owens Community College next year.

"Jalen is a wing who has mid-major athletic ability," said Owens men's basketball head coach Dave Clarke. "We expect him to come in and compete right away at the guard position and be one of the Division I prospects on the team. He brings in experience from a four-year university and a great desire to compete day in and day out. We have big hopes for Jalen."

Huff, who averaged 12.3 points and 7.4 rebounds for Dwyer as a senior, played in just three games for Indiana Tech last year. However, he poured in 18 points, along with five rebounds and four assists in 23 minutes against NCAA Division I Ohio University in an exhibition game on Nov. 7.

As a senior at Dwyer, Huff led his team to a 25-5 record. They advanced to the Class 7A regional semifinals and were eliminated by eventual state champion Pompano Beach-Ely.

Huff becomes the first signee in the 2016-17 Owens Community College men's basketball recruiting class.
