Toledo, OH -- With the Express in the midst of a 13 game winning streak, it was only fitting that a pair of Express players received all Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) honors on Thursday morning. Owens freshman Gabe Simpson was named to the OCCAC All-Conference First Team, the All-Freshman Team, and the All-District Team.

It has truly been an amazing first season for the freshman from Warren, OH. Simpson finished the season with a team best 20.6 point per game average, and he shot a unbelievable 51.5% from the floor for the season, which was also a team best. He also averaged 4.5 rebounds per game and he averaged nearly four assists as contest. He scored in double figures in all but three of the team's games this season, and he scored 20 or more points in 13 games as well. Simpson was named the OCCAC Player of the Week once this season back on February 5 of this year.

Marquevious Wilson was named to the OCCAC All-Conference Second Team. Wilson finished second on the team in scoring with 17.9 points per game this season. The Lima native also had 5.7 rebounds a contest as well, which ranks him fourth best on the team. He shot 47.8% from the floor for the season and a spectacular 40.4% from beyond the arc for the year. Wilson was an Honorable Mention All-OCCAC a year ago as a freshman.

The Express are currently 22-5 and finished the conference schedule with a mark of 14-2. The Express, as mentioned earlier, have won 13 games in a row. This is the longest active winning streak for the Express since the 2005-2006 season, when the program won 14 in a row. Owens has a chance to match that streak in its first District Tournament game tomorrow evening against Sinclair.
