Express Add Finishing Touches to Recruiting Class

Toledo, OH -- It has been a whirlwind month for new Owens Men's Basketball head coach Bruce Johnson. With no returning players, Johnson and his staff have had to assemble a brand new team to compete for the Express for the 2018-19 season. The new staff had already inked eight players for this upcoming season, and with these two latest signings, he will now have ten total players committed.

 Dimarius Hill, Shaw High School - Hill is a 5'11 shooting guard from Shaw High School in East Cleveland, Ohio. He played three years of varsity basketball at Shaw.  Hill earned the team's most improved player his junior year and team defensive player of the year his senior year, while averaging 10ppg. He played AAU for Sky Basketball based out of Cleveland, Ohio. He also graduated from Shaw with 3.7 GPA.

 

 Sherman Kyle, John Hay High School - Kyle is a 6'7 center, who played his senior season at John Hay High School. Kyle played his first three seasons at Martin Luther King Jr. High School in Cleveland before transferring to John Hay. During his senior season, Kyle averaged 8.0 points per game and 10 rebounds per game for the Hornets.

Owens is scheduled to being its season on Saturday November 3 against Oakland Community College.
