Toledo, OH --  In what has been a trying start to the year for the Owens Men's Basketball program, the team put up two inconsistent halves of play, and the Ocelots were able to pull away with a lopsided win at 111-79.

Owens played the Ocelots tight in the the first half of play. The Express trailed by just four at halftime at 38-34. Unfortunately, turnovers and fouls would do in the home team in the game's final 20 minutes of play.

The Express shot well from the field for the game at 41.8% (33-79), but the Ocelots were hotter, especially in the second half. Schoolcraft would shoot 60.3% (41-68) for the game and shot above 50% from three in the second half.

Owens finished with three players in double figures scoring wise. DiMarius Hill led the team with 24 points on 12-20 shooting from the floor. Sharpshooter Jordan Grayson had an even 20 points, shooting 6-12 from beyond the arc for the game. Demetric Knight was the final player in double figures with 18 points on 7-13 shooting

Freshman Jacob Cousino was the team's leading rebounder with nine boards.

Owens falls to 2-13 overall and they are winless in the OCCAC at 0-3.

The Express will close out the 2018 portion of the schedule on Saturday afternoon at Columbus State. Tip off time is scheduled for 3 PM.
