Owens Struggle in Second Half Against Sinclair, Fall 104-66

Toledo, OH -- In what is turning into a little bit of a season theme, Owens struggled to keep pace with the high octane offense of Sinclair in the second half, falling 104-66 in their first game since the holiday break.

Owens would be down just ten points after a competitive first half. The Express would head to the locker room, trailing 40-30, due in large part to DiMarius Hill's 15 first half points. Unfortunately, the Express would struggle in the second half, as Sinclair would open the half on an 11-0 run. Things never got better for Owens, as they would be outscored 64-36 in the second half.

Hill would finish with a game high 24 points on 10-22 shooting. He also had six rebounds and six assists in the ball game as well. Tonight marked the third straight game where Hill has scored 24 or more points. Over the last three games, he is shooting above 50% from the field.

In just his second game with the Express, Sharif Saleem would have a double-double. He had 16 points and 14 rebounds during the game against the Tartan Pride.

Owens falls to 2-15 overall and the team is still winless in the OCCAC at 0-5. They will be in action next on Saturday against Hocking with tip off scheduled for 3 PM.
