Toledo, OH -- On Monday May 20, the Owens Men's Basketball program announced three more signings of incoming players for the 2019-2020 NJCAA Basketball season. Bernard Manuel, Jerome Polk, and Ramon Hasan will all join the Express this coming basketball season after playing together at Shaw High School in East Cleveland, OH.

Bernard Manuel - Manuel is a 6'0 guard where he averaged 20 points per game, four assists per game and four rebounds per game as well. He was also an All-District and All Lake Erie League selection this past season for the Cardinals. Manuel played AAU basketball for Sky Basketball.

Bruce Johnson, head men's basketball coach, on Bernard: "We are really pleased to add a competitor on and off the court like Bernard. He will add depth at the guard positions for us and his athleticism, ability to score in a variety of ways, as well as, willingness to defend will be huge for us in continuing to build our culture around the right type of young men."

Jerome Polk - Polk is a 6'2 guard and comes to the Express after a solid senior campaign. He averaged 16 points per game, three rebounds per game, and three assists per contest as well.

Bruce Johnson, head men's basketball coach, on Jerome: "Jerome is a very well rounded player but his shooting is probably his greatest strength. We struggled from three last year so adding young men that can not only score but do so from deep was a priority for us. We strongly feel like Jerome will help us grow in this area as a team."

Ramon Hasan - Hasan is a 6'5 forward, who will help add some depth on the front lines for the Express. He averaged 12 points per game and nine rebounds per game during the 2018-19 basketball season.

Bruce Johnson, head men's basketball coach, on Ramon: At 6's plus, Ramon is a steal. He has a lot of room to grow physically and skill wise, but we are excited about his upside and can't wait to get to work with him."
