High School: 2006 Van Buren High School graduate, Van Buren, Ohio, where he earned First Team All-Blanchard Valley Conference and National High School Coaches Association All-American honors.  Bowker also was named BVC Player of the Year and was a two-time Ohio High School State Tournament qualifier.  Additionally, he was a member of the baseball team.

Bowker actually played for the Express while in high school. He's the only player in program history to do so.
