Owens Career: Gardner earned Second Team All-Ohio Community College Athletic Conference honors last season, along with earning a spot on the All-OCCAC academic team.

Prior to Owens: Gardner was a scholar athlete at Bowling Green, where he played basketball.  He was an All-Northern Lakes League player his sophomore through senior seasons for coach Chris Gill.  He helped lead his team to a spot in the Ohio state tournament his junior season, which he lists as his greatest personal sports thrill.
