Overview: Simmons comes to Owens as the reigning player of the year in the Suburban Lakes League.

Prior to Owens: An honor roll student, Simmons captured First Team All-Suburban Lakes League honors and Second Team All-District honors his senior year.  He won First Team All-SLL his sophomore and junior years, while earning Second Team honors his freshman year.  He lists his greatest personal sports thrill as going to the state tournament under coach Tom Pickerel.
