2011-12: Berger earned First Team All-OCCAC and First Team All-Region XII honors last year, and he also qualified for the NJCAA D-II National Tournament as an individual, where he shot a 305 over four rounds (77-74-79-75) to finish tied for 32nd. At the Region XII tournament, where he qualified for nationals, he shot a two-day, three round 224 (76-73-75) to finish in 10th place.

Prior to Owens: Berger was a state qualifier his junior and senior years at Bedford where he was the Monroe County Golfer of the Year his senior year. Additionally, Berger was named First Team All-County, First Team All-District, and First Team All-Region his junior and senior years. He was named First Team All-State his senior year, which he lists as his greatest personal sports thrill. Academically, he was a three-time scholar athlete.

Personal: Luke is the son of Jon and Jayne Berger. He has three siblings - Molly, Taylor and Sam.
