Hogan's 72 Leads No. 1 Express Golf to Lourdes Fall Finale Championship

Aurora, OH---Blaze Hogan (Big Rapids/Big Rapids, MI) led the No. 1 Express men's golf team to a first place finish in the Lourdes University Fall Finale today.

The event, which was played in high winds, rain and a temperature in the low 50s, saw the Express shoot a 306 (+18) as a team, which was 13 shots better than second place Jackson College (319). Lourdes finished third with a 328 team score.

Hogan won the individual portion of the event with an even par-72, while Philippe Weppernig (Lucerne, Switzerland) shot a 76 (+4) for third place. Dru Hein (Jasper/Jasper, IN) shot a 77 (+5) to finish in a three-way tie for fourth place. 

Harrison Long's (Wilnecote/Tamworth, UK) 81 (+9) was good for a three-way tie for 13th place, while Tyler Crossley (Jonathan Alder/Plain City, OH) shot an 88 (+16) for a two-way tie at 21st place.

The event was held at Barrington Golf Club in Aurora, OH with six teams and 29 players overall. 

The Express, who have now won four straight and five overall championships this fall, have just one event remaining this fall - the Cincinnati State Fall Invitational at Browns Run in Middletown, OH on Oct. 19.
