Cleveland, Ohio---Brandon Hoelzer (Fremont Ross/Fremont, Ohio) led the No. 1 Owens Community College men's golf team to their fourth straight tournament victory in the Lakeland Invitational at Quail Hollow Country Club on Monday.

The Express shot 300 as a team and finished five strokes ahead of runner-up Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. Columbus State Community College (306), Lorain County Community College (340) and Lakeland Community College (342) rounded out the scoring.

Hoelzer missed out on medalist honors by three strokes, snapping his three-tournament streak of winning or tying for medalist. Matt Nickoson of Cincinnati State earned medalist honors with a 71.

Thus, Hoelzer finished with a team-low 74. He was assisted by Kirby Manown (75, Belle Vernon/Belle Vernon, Penn.), Philippe Weppernig (75, Kantonsschule Alpenquai Luzern/Luzern, Switzerland) and Harrison Long (76, Wilnecote/Tamworth, U.K.).

Also golfing for the Express were Dru Hein (81, Jasper/Jasper, Ind.) and Timothy Dawkins (89, Big Rapids/Big Rapids, Mich.).

Riley Robinson (85, St. Mary Catholic Central/Monroe, Mich.) and Tyler Crossley (89, Jonathan Alder/Plain City, Ohio) golfed individually for Owens.

The No. 1 Express will be back on the green on May 4 when they host the Owens Invitational at Belmont Country Club at 1:30 p.m.
