2014-15: Weppernig completed a solid two-year career by averaging 75.3 strokes over 22 rounds as a sophomore. In the fall, he averaged 73.5 strokes over eight tournaments, and he captured medalist honors twice in that span on Sept. 28 and Oct. 19. In the spring, he averaged 76.3 strokes over 14 rounds. 

In OCCAC play, Weppernig finished fourth in the conference with a 76.2 average over six tournaments. He was named First Team All-OCCAC for the second consecutive season.

In the Region XII tournament, Weppernig shot rounds of 77-75-78 for a total of 230 (+14). He finished in a tie for 15th place. At the NJCAA Division II National Tournament, he shot rounds of 73-75-75-77 for a total of 300 (+12). He finished in a tie for 62nd place.

Overall, in postseason play, Weppernig averaged 75.7 strokes over seven rounds. He was also named First Team All-East Region by PING.

In his two-year career, Weppernig was a two-time First Team All-OCCAC and First Team PING All-East Region selection. He averaged 75.3 strokes over 51 rounds in his career.

Following the season, Weppernig was named the team's Co-MVP along with Harrison Long.

2013-14: Weppernig had a breakout freshman year as he captured First Team All-OCCAC, First Team All-Region XII, PING All-East Region, NJCAA All-National Tournament team and NJCAA Division II Second Team All-American honors. In the OCCAC Ryder Cup tournament, Weppernig and Harrison Long captured the Alternate Shot and Scramble events. He medaled one of 29 tournaments, and he averaged 75.4 strokes per 18 holes.

In OCCAC play, Weppernig finished in a tie for third among all golfers, while averaging 76.5 strokes per 18 holes.

Prior to Owens: Weppernig is a graduate of Kantonsschule Luzern High School in Luzern, Switzerland. He took third in the Innerschweizer Meisterschaft with scores of 79-71-69, and he took ninth in the Credit Suisse Junior Tour Final.

Personal: Philippe is the son of Gunter and Rosa Weppernig. He has one brother, Michael.
