2015-16: In his lone year at Owens, Mullins was named First Team All-OCCAC, OCCAC Player of the Year, PING All-East Region and First Team All-Region XII. He medaled two tournaments and was named the OCCAC golfer of the week on April 10 and April 24.

In the fall season, Mullins averaged a 75.43 over seven tournaments, including a low of 70 on Sept. 5. Then, in conference play, he averaged a conference-low 73.63 strokes to earn conference player of the year recognition. In the Region XII tournament, Mullins shot a 227 (+11) over three rounds, including a final-round 70, to finish in seventh place. He closed his season by shooting a 318 (+30) over four rounds in the NJCAA Division II National Tournament to finish in a tie for 83rd place.

Mullins averaged 75.6 strokes over 15 total spring rounds, which included a 77.86 postseason average.

Following the year, Mullins was the recipient of the NJCAA's Pinnacle Award for Academic Excellence.

Prior to Owens: Mullins transferred to Owens after a year at College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, California. He shot a 69 to capture first place at the Western State Conference (WSC) No. 9 at Olivas Links Golf Course on April 20. He also shot a 74 in the 2015 Southern California Preview at Olivas Links Golf Course on March 16 and a 75-75--150 at the WSC Championships at Rancho Vista Golf Club on April 27.
