Toledo, Ohio---Karit Kitipongpatana (St. Dominic School/Bangkok, Thailand), a freshman on the Owens Community College men's golf team, has voted this week's Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) golfer of the week by the league's coaches.

It marks the final golfer of the week award of the season.

On Sunday, Kitipongpatana shot a 5-under 67 to claim first place in the Express Invitational at Belmont Country Club in Perrysburg, Ohio. He followed that up with a 2-over 74 to finish in fifth place at the Owens Invitational on Monday.

Kitipongpatana's efforts this year, especially with his strong finish this past weekend, helped him earned second place overall in the OCCAC this year, which allowed him to be selected First Team All-OCCAC. He finished with 601 strokes over eight tournaments and averaged 75.125 strokes per 18 holes.

Kitipongpatana and the Owens men's golf team captured this year's OCCAC and Sub-Region XII championships. They will compete in the Region XII tournament in Battle Creek, Mich. on May 16-17.
