Art Johnson begins as head coach of the new Owens Community College soccer program.  He is a 19-year veteran of the St. John's Jesuit High School soccer program.  In 12 seasons as head coach, Johnson composed a 150-51-20 record.  He was named the 1997 Division I Ohio private school "Coach of the Year."  He is a native of Rochester, New York and played soccer at Monroe Community College (1975).  He graduated from Ohio University in 1978, where he captained the team as a senior, returning as an assistant the following season.  "The idea of building a soccer program is a great challenge at this stage of my coaching career.  I feel extremely confident and excited about my ability to take this program to the top."
