Owens Career: In 2001, he was an integral part of the Express soccer team, which recorded the most wins in the program's four-year history (12).

High School: I.T.C. Matunda High School graduate, Lubumbashi, Congo, where he was a two-time Best Player T.P. Mazembe in the Lubumbashi League Championship and the Most Discipline Player for the Lusaka City Council.  He also was a member of the tennis, basketball and volleyball teams in high school.
