Art Johnson returns for his ninth season as head coach of the Owens Community College men's soccer program. His accomplishments include being named NJCAA Region XII Coach of the Year in 2005.  During his tenure at Owens, Johnson led teams have complied an 87-66-9 overall record.  Additionally, he is a 19-year veteran of the St. John's Jesuit High School soccer program.  In 12 seasons as head coach, Johnson complied a 150-51-20 record.  He was named the 1997 Division I Ohio private school Coach of the Year.

 He is a native of Rochester, New York, and played soccer at Monroe Community College in 1975.  Johnson graduated from Ohio University in 1978, where he captained the team as a senior, returning as an assistant the following season.  He resides in Toledo.
