Perrysburg, OH - The Owens Express defeated Jackson Community College 2-1 Wednesday night in a rain-soaked, tempered match at the Owens Soccer Field.

In the 78th minute, the match was called for grade disorder due to confrontational action by multiple players with Owens up 2-1. On Thursday, it was ruled the lead would stand and the Express won the game.

Novak Vuk Janicic (Electro Technika/Belgrade, Serbia) had a goal and an assist, while Alec Smith (Perrysburg/Perrysburg, Ohio) had the other goal and Jauvanie Cole (Coconut Creek/Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) had the other assist.

Jake Olman (Maumee/Maumee, Ohio) started in goal for the Express and stopped five shots.

The Express took a 2-0 lead before giving up a PK in the 41st minute.

Owens (2-2, 1-2) will travel to Cincinnati, Ohio on Saturday to take on rival Cincinnati State Community College at 1 p.m.
