2012: Garcia scored three goals and added two assists in primarily a reserve role as a freshman. He started three games.

Prior to Owens: Garcia was a First Team All-Northwest Ohio and Second Team All-TAAC recipient at Toledo Christian, where he was a 2005 graduate. Garcia played for coach Steve Pereus.

Personal: Virgil is the son of Virgil and Teri Garcia. He has three siblings - Dan, Melissa and Lydia.
