2012: Ortega-Gonzalez scored two goals and added three assists as a sophomore. Following the year, he was named First Team All-OCCAC after starting all 21 games for the Express.

Academically, Ortega-Gonzalez was one of nine Express student-athletes to earn NJCAA academic honors. He was awarded the highest of the nine, as he earned a 4.0 GPA and was given the Pinnacle Award for Academic Excellence.

2011: Ortega-Gonzalez provided one goal and one assist for the Express in 2011. He had eight shots on goal.

Prior to Owens: Ortega-Gonzalez was a member of A.D. Arganda in the Preferente League from 2008-11, and he was very instrumental in youth camps in Madrid.

Personal: David is the son of Eugenio Ortega Sanchez and Angelita Gonzalez Vazquez. He has one sister, Lorena Ortega Gonzalez.
