Toledo, OH---Sophomore forward Glenroy Miller and freshman goalkeeper Joshua Kleinow have earned OCCAC honors for the week ending Sept. 9.

Miller earned his second consecutive OCCAC Player of the Week honor. He notched three goals during the week and raised his season total to nine as of Sept. 9.

Against No. 7 Schoolcraft College on Sept. 5, Miller scored the lone goal for the Express in a 1-1 tie in 2 OT. Then, he led the Express to a victory in the Lincoln Land Tournament Championship game with two goals in a 3-0 win over host school Lincoln Land Community College on Sept. 9.

"Glenroy continues to provide consistent scoring for us," said Express men's soccer head coach Art Johnson. "He takes very few shots and sometimes you don't know he's on the pitch until a goal is scored."

Kleinow earned his first OCCAC Goalkeeper of the Week honor as he allowed only one goal in three matches during the week, with the only goal allowed coming against Schoolcraft. He produced back-to-back shutouts against the College of DuPage and Lincoln Land Community College on Sept. 8-9. In those three games, he made 11 saves.

"Josh has been steady all year and seems to play even bigger in the big games," Johnson said. "We won the Lincoln Land Invitational Tournament with zero goals against with him in goal."

Overall, Miller has 12 goals and one assist this year. He leads the team in goals scored and points (25). Kleinow has 36 saves in eight games this year, and he has produced three shutouts.

Both players are a big reason the No. 15 Express are off to a 6-2-1 (2-0 OCCAC) start this year. The team is scheduled to take on OCCAC foe Lakeland Community College this Wednesday at 4 p.m.
