Toledo, OH---Ancilla College pulled off a 1-0 upset of the No. 15 Express men's soccer team today at the Owens Soccer Complex.

It was the second time they have defeated the Express this year, which provides for a statisticial oddity. Of the three Owens losses, two have came to Ancilla, while Ancilla has two of their three total wins against Owens.

Ancilla's Jose Luzanilla headed a perfect throw-in from Manny Awuku at the 28:21 mark for the game's only goal.

The game's theme was physicality as the two teams combined for 35 fouls and four yellow cards, while the loss marked the end of a four game winning streak for the Express. They had won those four games by a combined 31-3 score.

Joshua Kleinow started and played the entire 90 minutes in goal for the Express. He made five saves. Rene Mejia played the first half in goal for Ancilla and made two saves, while Alex Rosowicz played the second half and made three saves on goal.

The Express (10-3-1) will look to bounce back against another Region XII foe, Muskegon Community College, tomorrow at 1 p.m. at home. It is a big matchup in terms of seeding for the Region XII playoffs as the two teams are battling for a two seed, which gives a quarterfinal round bye in the tourney.
