Livonia, MI---Glenroy Miller's goal off a direct free kick with five minutes remaining in the first half helped the No. 15 Express men's soccer team knock off No. 5 Schoolcraft College on the road today.

Jacob Martin nearly gave the Express a 2-0 lead shortly after Miller's goal, but his header bounced off the crossbar.

Joshua Kleinow started in goal for the Express and made three saves. He played the entire game, and it was his sixth shutout of the year.

The goal for Miller was his 23rd of the year, as he inched closer to the single season record of 28 set by Sean Bucknor in 2006 and 2007. Currently, he is one away from tying Fabio Cardoso (24, 2000) and Rodcliff Hall (24, 2009) for the fourth most in a single year. Bucknor holds the top two years, while Sean Brown had 25 in 2001.

Miller remains in third place in career goals with 39.

The win achieved many things for the Express. First, it was their first overall win over Schoolcraft since October 2007, their first regular season win over Schoolcraft since October 2004 and it was the first win at Schoolcraft in the history of the program.

Most importantly, though, the win clinched at least the #2 seed in the Region XII postseason tournament, which guarantees the Express a quarterfinal round bye. It also left open the possibility of Owens getting the #1 seed should Schoolcraft lose one of their remaining games, should the Express win out.

With the win, the Express improve to 12-3-1 overall, while Schoolcraft falls to 11-2-1 overall.

The Express will now take on No. 3 Monroe Community College on Saturday and Mercyhurst North East (PA) on Sunday. Both games are on the road.
