Toledo, OH---Jacob Martin, a sophomore midfielder for the Express men's soccer team, has captured OCCAC Player of the Week honors for the week ending Sept. 1.

In the team's only game of the week, Martin scored two goals to help the No. 18 Express defeat Jackson College 4-3 in double overtime. He scored the team's first goal, as well as the game winner with 4:29 left to help the Express improve to 3-0 at the time.

For the season, Martin has three goals and one assist for the Express, who are now 4-1 overall this year.

The Express will take on Lakeland Community College at 5 p.m. on Sept. 11 at home. The match marks the beginning of OCCAC play.
