Cicero, IL---The Express got some more late game heroics from sophomore Jacob Martin in today's 2-1 overtime victory over Morton College on the road.

With Morton College holding a 1-0 lead, Martin scored on a penalty kick in the 80th minute to tie it up. Later, in the 96th minute, the Express had a free kick at the six, and Morton College was called for a hand ball on the shot - allowing Martin to shoot the PK and tie it up.

Then, in overtime, Martin broke through on the right side of the goal and scored his second game winning, overtime goal of the season - 96:15 into the match. He had previously scored a game winner against Jackson College on Aug. 31 in double overtime.

Abraham Adoure-Zehaim assisted on the game winner.

Joshua Kleinow started in goal for the Express. He received a yellow card and sat out the final seven minutes of the first half, but played every other minute. Ryan Wicher replaced him during that missing stretch.

Notes

Martin now has five goals and one assist this year. He is one off the team-high in goals (Bjion Campbell, 6).

With today's win, the Express avenged a 3-2 home loss to Morton College last year.

The Express will now face another tough road test against Ancilla College tomorrow at 1 p.m. The Chargers are 4-1 overall and 4-1 in Region XII. The Express, meanwhile, are 6-1 overall and 4-1 in Region XII.
