Combs Voted OCCAC's Co-Offensive Player of the Week

Toledo, OH---Austin Combs, a freshman midfielder for the Express men's soccer team, has been named the OCCAC men's soccer co-offensive player of the week.

The award is for the week ending Sept. 22.

In his team's lone game against Cuyahoga Community College, Combs provided his first multi-goal game of the season. He totaled two goals and one assist, while his second goal proved to be the game-winner.

For the season, Combs has three goals and one assist.

The Express men's soccer team is currently 8-1 and riding a five-game winning streak heading into tomorrow's matchup at home against No. 6 Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. The Surge are currently 7-1-1 overall, while both teams are tied for the OCCAC lead with identical 2-0 records.

Notes

Cincinnati State's Liam Doyle was the other co-offensive player of the week.

Combs joins fellow Express student-athlete Lisa Urbanski (volleyball), who also won OCCAC player of the week honors this week. Both are from the local area as Combs is from Anthony Wayne and Urbanski is from Notre Dame Academy.
