Boatright Sinks Express Men in 78th Minute, Schoolcraft Prevails 1-0

Toledo, OH---The Express men's soccer team dominated the shots battle in today's matchup against Schoolcraft College, but the Ocelots netted their lone shot on goal to upset the Express 1-0.

Just under 79 minutes into the match, Schoolcraft's Derek Boatright split his defenders and lofted the game winner over Express goalkeeper Joshua Kleinow.

Sean Simney saved seven shots for Schoolcraft, while Kleinow didn't have any saves.

Notes

The Express out shot the Ocelots 20-8 overall and 7-1 in shots on goal, but couldn't provide the game tying or game winning goal. Jacob Martin led the Express with three shots on goal. 

With the loss, the Express fall to 9-3-1 overall, while Schoolcraft improves to 6-4 overall. The Ocelots are 2-0 against the Express this year.

The Express have now lost two in a row. Their next action will be this Saturday at home against Mercyhurst North East Community College at 1 p.m.
