Cincinnati State Defeats Express Men 3-0 to Capture OCCAC Championship

Cincinnati, OH---The Express men's soccer team was defeated 3-0 by No. 9 Cincinnati State Technical and Community College on the road today.

The match, which featured the top two teams in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC), ended up crowning Cincinnati State (5-0-1 OCCAC) the champion over the Express (4-1-1). The team had tied for the title last year.

Cincinnati State took a 1-0 lead into the break before scoring twice in the second half.

Joshua Kleinow (Haslett/Holt, MI) started in goal for the Express. He made four saves before being replaced by Ryan Wicher (Whitmer/Toledo, OH) for the game's final 12 minutes.

The Express (13-5-1 overall) host Ancilla College at 1 p.m. tomorrow. It will be their final regular season match. Should the Express win, they will clinch a bye and the No. 2 seed in next weekend's Region XII tournament.
